About the Brewery Tours

Craft beer has a long and rich history in Northwestern Montana dating back to the late 1800s when the first breweries were established in the region. However, it wasn't until the 1980s that the craft beer movement really took off in Montana, thanks in part to changes in state law that allowed for more flexibility in brewery operations. In the 1990s and early 2000s, a number of small breweries and brewpubs opened in Northwestern Montana, each with its own unique approach to brewing and beer styles. These early pioneers helped to establish a culture of beer appreciation in the region, inspiring more people to experiment with different beer styles and flavors.

Today, Northwestern Montana is home to a thriving craft beer scene, with dozens of breweries and taprooms offering a wide range of beer styles and flavors. From light and refreshing lagers to rich and complex stouts, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Craft beer has become an integral part of the culture and community in Northwestern Montana, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to experience the unique flavors and hospitality of our local breweries. As the craft beer movement continues to grow and evolve, we look forward to seeing what new and exciting developments will emerge from our region's talented brewers and beer lovers.  Additionally, the origins of modern craft brewing can be traced back to the rise of homebrewing, which only became legal in all 50 states in 2013!
